The City of Vicksburg Police Department consists of over eighty full-time personnel who are trained to provide you with the highest level of public safety and emergency assistance. These services are provided free of charge for the citizens of City of Vicksburg. The force is comprised of both sworn police officers and unsworn civilian employees. In addition, six employees act as school crossing guards. The City of Vicksburg also has 911 services for emergency police, fire, and rescue assistance 24 hours a day.
