The Crime Scene Division of the City Vicksburg Police Department is composed of two officers who specialize in the examination of technical and scientific evidence, such as firearms, fingerprints, and bloodstains. These officers assist other divisions by providing technical expertise regarding the collection and analysis of evidence. Their labs analyze everything from hair and blood sample to bullets and firearm makes to give insight into a particular crime. They are also often called to appear in court to testify as to the nature and validity of scientific data and evidence.

Crime Scene specialists work in the City of Vicksburg Police Department’s main offices. For more information about how the Crime Scene Division helps to serve the community, contact the City of Vicksburg Police Department's main office, located at 820 Veto Street, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, or call them at (601) 636-2511.
