Refuse Rates
Residential:
In order to defray the cost of establishing, operating and maintaining a system for the collection and disposal of garbage, the city does hereby fix and levy a fee or charge upon each single-family residential generator of garbage, upon each household in a building where there are three (3) apartments or less, and upon each small commercial establishment for pick up two (2) times per week. Each single-family residential generator of garbage, or each household in a building where there are (3) apartments or less may request one (1) additional container for an additional charge.

Small Commercial:
In order to defray the cost of establishing, operating and maintaining a system for the collection and disposal of garbage, the city does hereby fix and levy a fee or charge upon each downtown small commercial establishment for pick up four (4) times per week.
- One Container - $ 40.15
- Additional Container - $5.28
Large Commercial or Industrial:
No large commercial or industrial establishment shall be assessed any charges for garbage removal and disposal by the city if the establishment has a dumpster refuse container and a contract with a waste hauler.

* Small commercial establishment shall mean any public or private place, building and/or enterprise devoted in whole or in part to a commercial enterprise, whether nonprofit or profit in nature, except where such place, building and/or enterprise constitutes a single-family residence.
** Downtown small commercial establishment shall mean any public or private place, building and/or enterprise devoted in whole or in part to a commercial enterprise, whether nonprofit or profit in nature, which is located along Washington Street between Jackson Street and Veto Street, except where such place, building and/or enterprise constitutes a single-family residence or multifamily dwelling units (four (4) apartments or more under common ownership).
