Action Line

In August 2002, the City of Vicksburg established a twenty-four hour action line. Area citizens can call the "Center" to report problems, express concerns or simply get information. Never before have the citizens of Vicksburg had such access to their government. All calls are logged and tracked electronically. Each call is automatically forwarded to the proper department for action. The "Call Center" staff monitors the system for incidences that are not completed in a timely manner and makes inquiries as to the disposition of those incidents. The system helps us provide more efficient services as well as insuring that problems do not fall through the cracks.

A new feature that we implemented on our site is the "Live Support" function. You can now chat directly with a staff member of the Action Line directly from your web browser. There are "Live Support" links or buttons throughout the site that you simply click to initiate a chat session. If the "Live Support" shows offline you can still leave a message and a staff member will get back with you as soon as possible.

Call our friendly courteous staff at (601) 636-3411 any time of the day or night and let government work for you!
