2023 American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program
Registration for Vicksburg City Pool’s American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program will be held on Wednesday May 17 – Friday, May 19 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the City Park Pavilion and on Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at City Pool on Lee Street.
Cost for each two-week session is $15. This fee guarantees eight (8) lessons in case of rain outs.
The 45-minute classes are held daily, Monday – Friday.
All that is needed are a swimsuit, a towel, and an eagerness to learn to swim.
Potential students must be 5 years old prior to the start of class to participate in the “Learn to Swim” Levels classes.
For the 3- and 4-year-old classes, students are required to be 3 by the beginning of the class session. For safety, a parent or adult guardian is required to be in the water with their child.
All ages, 3 years and above are welcome and are encouraged to register.
Those interested in participating in Levels 1 and 2 and strongly encouraged to register on the first day of registration as these classes fill quickly.
We are still experiencing a lifeguard/swim instructor shortage so we have had to adjust our schedules and class size. No more than six students will be registered per class.
