 The City of Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Department sponsors 2 adult volleyball leagues at the Jackson Street Community Center and the Riverfront Park. Adults age 16 and over can choose to play in either the men's, women's, co-ed, or church division or in the two-person sand volleyball league by registering as a team for a specific division.Registration is held in January of each year for hardcourt volleyball and in March for sand volleyball. Fees vary according to the division the team will play in. Hardcourt volleyball season usually begins in March and last until April, followed by postseason tournaments. Teams typically play 2 games per week and practice 1 other day per week. Most games and practices are held at Jackson Street Community Center. Sand volleyball season usually begins in April and last until May, followed by postseason tournaments. Teams typically play 2 games (TBA) per week, held at the Riverfront Park. Practices are set up individually by each team.
